MASTHEAD

I have decided to focus on my masthead designs first as i feel like that is the most important part of my magazine as it is my logo which will feature on my Front Cover, Double Page Spread and Content Page.

Definition: The title of a newspaper or magazine at the head of the first or editorial page.

Regarding the music magazine genre I researched into the mastheads that are popular within the Hip hop/Rap genre.


Most of the magazine titles typography is Bold and capitalised this is to gather the attention of the audience. secondly the masthead has minimal spacing between each letter and is very simplistic to be remembered by audience. The Masthead below inspired and gave me ideas for my magazine
