I went into WH Smith and took images of the music magazines that they sell in order to see what magazines are available,where they're placed.  Firstly the magazines are positioned on the bottom shelf. The mastheads are seen clearly and are not covered this is so the customer can see what magazine are being sold. There are 21 different music magazines the most  popular ones such as Q and Kerang are seen at the front whilst others such as Louder are seen behind them.

PREMINARY TASK: LSC MAGAZINE (PLANNING)

 The images below are my College name suggestions, front cover plan and a content page plan.

I have decided on the name Leyton for my magazine.

                           

FIRST TEST ON PHOTOSHOP

TEST FRONT COVER USING PHOTOSHOP

I created my test front cover using the software Adobe Photoshop.The software  is a raster graphics editor developed and published by Adobe Systems for macOS and Windows. I used several tools in order to create the test cover. Firstly my test cover features the artist Kendrick Lamar as I wanted to stick to the context of my final task of creating a music magazine.

The tools I used: Paint bucket, text box, magic eraser and crop button.
